The Tamm-Horsfall (THP) Glycoprotein ELISA provides an easy and rapid method for quantitatively measuring THP (uromodulin) levels in mammalian urine samples. THP is the most abundant protein found in normal mammalian urine. The function of THP is thought to act as a constitutive inhibitor of calcium crystals in renal fluids. This ELISA will give you results in 2.5 hours without the hassle and inconsistency of do-it-yourself ELISAs. It also offers good sensitivity (<0.75 ng/mL) which allows for a lower useful working range, thereby enabling the measurement of potentially low levels of THP in a sample.
