White wells reflect up to 10x more fluorescence than clear wells. This feature is a definite benefit in qPCR, particularly low volume reactions. The higher reflective properties allow for a reduction in sample volume, as well as a shift to earlier Ct values. Higher reproducibility and tighter replicates have a also been observed.
