If one is interested in O-deglycosylation of proteins and their glycans, the most common O-glycan release technology, alkaline beta-elimination, destroys the parent protein rendering further proteomics analysis impossible. With the GlycoProfile™ Beta Elimination kit, one can now efficiently release O-glycans for analysis, leaving the parent protein relatively undamaged and suitable for proteomic analysis. Furthermore, the novel non-reductive beta-elimination reagent allows the O-glycans to be released so that they are amendable to 2-AA or 2-AB labeling. This technology allows for complete glycoproteomic analysis of O-linked glycoproteins, as never before possible.
