Biochain's Blood DNA Isolation Kit is designed for the purification of genomic DNA from whole blood or cells in a spin column format. No proteinase K, no phenol-chloroform extraction, and no precipitation are involved. The purified DNA is suitable for any downstream applications, especially for PCR diagnostic application. Most of the commercial kits in this format on the market are with proteinase K, which affect the PCR experiment significantly even with very tiny residual amount left over after the purification. Many researchers, who have been working with clinical samples, prefer DNA isolation kits without proteinase K.
