Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) is a highly sensitive, nonradioactive colorimetric assay. This kit uses the unique water-soluble tetrazolium salt-8 (WST-8) in measuring NADH production resulting from dehydrogenase activity. This kit is virtually nontoxic to cells, so you can continue to use the same cells. In addition, Dojindo recently launched the new Cell Counting Kit-SK (CCK-SK) which has higher sensitivity and shorter incubation time than CCK-8 and is suitable for leukocyte type cells. All components of these kits come in one bottle, so no reagent mixing is required.
