The KODAK Digital X-ray System (DXS) possesses unmatched resolution for specimen radiography. The system utilizes low energy X-ray (35 keV) and a patented phosphor screen to obtain resolution of >25 line pairs per millimeter (lp/mm). The use of an automated 10X zoom lens eliminates the need for geometric magnification associated with other technologies. The software enables automated image acquisition protocol, and a comprehensive image analysis suite. Molecular Imaging has developed a new software feature that enables the calculation of bone density through the use of a cylindrical bone-modeling algorithm and has made it available for advanced technology placement. The KODAK DXS is a rapid and facile instrument for life science specimen radiography needs.
