L-thio-AP4, a novel, potent Group III metabotropic glutamate receptor agonist is now available in the Low-Cost Ligand range. This agonist is two-fold more potent than the prototypic agonist L-AP4 but with a similar selectivity profile. EC50 values are 0.039, 0.73, 197, and 0.054 microM at mGlu4, 6, 7, and 8 respectively. L-thio-AP4 is the latest addition to the Low-Cost Ligand glutamate range which includes standard tools such as D-AP5, L-AP4, MPEP and kainic acid, together with novel ligands, such as the mGlu7 agonist AMN082. L-thio-AP4 is available at a purity of >98% and is available in 10 mg pack sizes from Ascent Scientific.
