AutoMate Scientific's SmartSquirt is a new micro-perfusion system for the rapid delivery and exchange of expensive compounds in neuroscience research. It delivers as little as 100 microliters of precious drugs and switches between eight solutions in milliseconds from a single Perfusion Pencil® tip. Programmable dispensing, microinjection, perfusion or spritzing is controlled by an AutoMate Scientific ValveLink® or ValveBank® controller. Pulse a valve quickly for reproducible microliter delivery, or leave it on longer for constant perfusion. The short SmartSquirt delivery path saves costly reagents. Integrated BackStop check valves prevent backflow, while three-way valves stop liquids quickly. Temperature control available.
