DAF-FM (4-Amino-5-Methylamino-2',7'-Difluorofluorescein) from Life Technologies

DAF-FM (4-Amino-5-Methylamino-2',7'-Difluorofluorescein) from Life Technologies

Description

DAF-FM is an important reagent for quantitating low concentrations of nitric oxide in solution. This compound is virtually nonfluorescent until it reacts with NO to form a fluorescent benzotrizole. With excitation/emission maxima of 495/515 nm, DAF-FM can be detected using any instrument that can be used to detect fluorescein. DAF-FM is also available as a cell-permeant diacetate (D-23842, D-23844).
