The CytoTune™ -iPS Reprogramming Kit is a high efficiency, integration-free, and easy-to-use somatic cell reprogramming kit used to generate induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). This kit utilizes Sendai virus particles of four genes - Oct3⁄4, Sox2, Klf4 and cMyc. - Higher Efficiency: The CytoTune™ -iPS Reprogramming Kit generates iPSCs with a reported efficiency as high as 1%. This is up to 100-fold higher than that of other reprogramming methods, such as lentiviral and episomal, which produce iPSCs with an efficiency in the range of 0.0001% to 0.01%.
- Integration Free: Generate iPSCs with no viral integration. The genetic material delivered by the Sendai virus particles in this kit remains in the cytoplasm and does not require nuclear entry for transcription, thus eliminating the chance that viral transgenes will be integrated into the host genome.
