Our new DNA size selection kit, SPRIselect*, utilizes SPRI-based (Solid Phase Reversible Immobilization) chemistry to simplify and increase the efficiency of genomic DNA size selection for Next Generation Sequencing. Following shearing, the library construction process requires size selection to produce uniform distribution of fragments. SPRIselect allows size distribution to be adjusted between 150 and 800 base pairs to suit the application and sequencing platform. SPRIselect requires no gels, no chips, and no separate instrumentation. It is ideal for manual use or can be automated in 96-well plates for high throughput applications on platforms such as our Biomek 4000 and Biomek FXP Automation Workstations, which will also be shown at the Beckman Coulter booth.
